The only way to ensure that you and others have a ticket to the Games is through the Birmingham 2022 website where you can look to see what tickets are available for each sport. Last month the final batch of tickets were released for the Games with Birmingham 2022 CEO Ian Reid adding that they were “desperate to try to fill as many of these venues” as possible.

Some sports will be harder to get tickets for this summer than others, more seats have been made available for Rugby 7s at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry while tickets can be grabbed for Women’s T20 cricket at Edgbaston . Click here to see if your chosen sport still has tickets available.

Beach volleyball is a sport at the Commonwealth Games in which people can get tickets. Tickets start at £15 for adults and more information can be found here for when the beach comes to Brum.

Known as the ‘Commonwealth Collective’, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games volunteer group is an integral part of the multi-sport event. The volunteer uniform was unveiled with the help of Commonwealth Games gold medalist Colin Jackson.

The uniform is inspired by major Birmingham landmarks including Grand Central Station and the Bullring. Designer Ed Grigg said: “The uniform was meant to stand out. To make it instantly recognizable.

“For the porters in particular, it had to be comfortable and desirable. It needs to be something people can wear that will also bring out their personality during the Games. »

Volunteers will be the driving force behind the Games, being on hand to guide people to their destination and organize a memorable event this summer. Applications are now closed for volunteering.
