Launch of Sports Kit For All in Turriff with a day of activities

Sports Kits For All recycling program officially launched in Turriff at the weekend with a morning of activities.

Sports Kit For All’s goal is to recycle outdated or unwanted exercise clothing and ensure that everyone can access the right kit when they need it.

All donated items are in a cabinet in the lobby of the Turriff Sports Center, available free of charge to anyone in need of sportswear.

It aims to eradicate access to appropriate clothing as a barrier to the participation of people in our region in sports activities, while reducing unnecessary waste.

To kick off the programme, the organizers organized a day of free activities which allowed people of all ages to try their hand at badminton, table tennis, rock climbing and zorbing.

It was also an opportunity to see the firm in action and to be among the first to benefit from the Sports Kit For All system.

A generous donation from Network Of Wellbeing meant free t-shirts were available to visitors on the day, with leftover t-shirts being added to the kit cabinet.

The program is ongoing and donations of outgrown or unwanted sportswear that could get a second life can be donated to any of the Sports Kit For All collection bins at the Turriff Sports Centre, Turriff Academy, Turriff Primary School or Baden Powell Community Hall.
