‘Scandalous red card decision’ in Dundee Utd defeat

We asked for your opinion after Dundee United’s 1-0 loss to Motherwell, which included a red card for United’s Tony Watt…

Gabin: United will stay put… just need a bit more guts and beat lesser teams

Anonymous : I’m a United fan and I don’t care what Liam Fox says… you can’t try to win the ball like that and especially with VAR. It’s just asking for trouble

Jim: Extremely underperforming, always seems to bottle it up in a close game. The last 3 league games are typical of United’s mentality. If they opted for the jugular in the 3 winnable matches, they would be 8 points better off and would be looking at European qualification again. They never seem quite ready for the fight, no bottle, unlike their gorgeous supporters

Anonymous : I think the red card was very hard, ruined the game, as for VAR, trash it

Jim: With Celtic and Aberdeen out for the next three games, we’ll be down at Christmas. We were a little miserable against Motherwell but we should make it harder for teams away from Tannadice

Anonymous : Why play five in midfield at home? You won’t win if you can’t score or defend better. A reliable guardian a priority

Column: An outrageous call on a red card ruined the game, the United goalkeeper had almost nothing to do but unfortunately one of those things was to win the ball back into the net. United looked better after the break despite having just 10 men left. It’s clear that we have a lot of defensive work, our last 4 goals conceded have come from crosses

Anonymous : Not a red but problems at both ends of the park for United surely. Free transfer players are not the answer
