The fourth-year pupil at King’s School in Peterborough was part of the England team that won all of their matches before beating Scotland 6-4 in the team final.

And Hannah, who represents Lincoln Road-based crack Archway Club, also claimed individual honors by beating Welsh and Scottish number ones in the semi-finals and final respectively.

Hannah had taken on the determined challenge of her Archway teammate, Amber Lemmon, in the quarter-finals. Both girls are on Archway’s Team HOPES – an elite youth training team.

Hannah had lost to the two number one players in the team event the night before.

Amber, a third-year student at Hampton Hargate, was also part of the successful England squad.

England beat Guernsey and Jersey 10-0 and a combined Welsh side 7-3 before facing Scotland in a high-quality final.

Teresa Moore, captain of the England non-playing team, commented: “I was really pleased with the way the girls behaved and supported each other from the bench. These girls are really impressed and have so much potential.

Archway club spokesman Julian Tee added: “Congratulations to Hannah and Amber and Archway HOPES Head Coach Hong Hong Peebles whose tireless dedication and skill helps all of our HOPES players to develop and win medals at national and international level.”

Archway run a side in the British League Premier Division alongside their much-loved youth team.

The club is located at 282-286 Lincoln Road, PE1 2ND.
