Udupi: VTU-zonal level table tennis tournament organized at SMVITM, Bantakal

Udupi, November 25: The 2021-2022 VTU-Zonal Level Table Tennis Tournament for Men and Women was held on November 24, 2021, at the Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal.

Shrishail Murgod, Deputy Police Inspector of Shirva, Udupi District, was the main guest at the inaugural ceremony. Opening the event, the main guest praised the college leadership for organizing college-level sports and encouraged students to participate more in sports for the overall development of individual personality. The guest of honor also mentioned the importance of following traffic rules and participating in contests and guided the students on how to set the highest goals for themselves to be successful.

Rathnakumar, secretary, Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi as guest of honor for the event, he advised students to be fair and not to worry about the outcome of the match . Also motivated students to read more books. Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat Senior, SMVITM and President of the Inaugural Ceremony wished the participants good luck and also mentioned the importance of physical education to keep fit and healthy.

Sachin Prabhu, Assistant Professor, ECE SMVITM Department welcomed the assembly and Muralidhar Sharma, PED SMVITM moved the vote of thanks.
Ganesh Poojary, VTU zone director, HOD and deans of various departments, professors and staff were present at the inauguration ceremony. Yashaswini introduced the main guest to the assembly.

The Niharika Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering participated in the program.
