[Watch] Mumbai Indians players enjoy fun night out at team hotel in UAE

The defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to face the Chennai Super Kings on September 19 in Dubai. The players and support staff are currently stationed in the UAE and have also started their training sessions ahead of this year’s Indian Premier League second leg.

While the Mumbai players worked hard in their training sessions in the Gulf Country, they had a fun evening at their team’s hotel, the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi. The players’ families were also seen enjoying themselves in a video posted by the franchise to their social media accounts on Saturday.

Piyush Chawla, Rahul Chahar and Ishan Kishan played billiards, while Zaheer Khan, the team’s cricket operations manager, showed off his ping-pong skills.

Amid all the fun and games, the Mumbai Indian team also celebrated the birthday of their scout and babysitting consultant Kiran More alongside the team’s assistant sports massage therapist Mayur Satpute.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced organizers to introduce a number of key changes while hosting a tournament of such magnitude as the cash-rich league.

In addition, following the standards of the bio-bubbles was also a challenge for the players. This is why several franchises, including the Indians of Mumbai, have imagined such team-building activities.
